Women's hockey is thriving at Guildford Hockey Club!
Our Women’s 1st XI team compete in the England Hockey National League. We’ve added five women’s league teams over the past few years and are thrilled to have achieved many league promotions during that time! We have a wide range of teams for every ability level.
Training during the league season takes place on weekday evenings with our outstanding team of coaches. South East Hockey League matches take place on a Saturday from September to April with England Hockey Championship (Cup) games on a Sunday.
We offer Back to Hockey sessions on Monday evenings for those who are new to the sport or who haven’t played in a long time. These sessions offer a safe, friendly and social environment with excellent coaching for you to learn and laugh.
In the off-season we host social 7-a-side sessions, summer leagues, and friendly tournaments.
League rules for adult hockey require players to be at least 13 years of age. See our FAQ about Adult Hockey opportunities for Junior Players here.
We pride ourselves on providing fun and engaging hockey for all.
Clubhouse & Pitches
Our Clubhouse is located behind Broadwater School, where we train and play on two high quality Tiger Turf pitches and where we have a dedicated practice area.
We also use Charterhouse, where we have access to three excellent pitches and indoor facilities – As well as Prior’s Field School where we have access to another excellent astropitch.
We invite our opposition and umpires to join us in the clubhouse for a hot meal and a beverage (or two!) from the bar after Adult League and Cup home games.
The bar and kitchen are open for refreshments on Friday evenings and over the weekend during the club season.
