Membership
To become a member of Guildford Hockey Club simply register through our club management app, Teamo. Registration and consent are requirements of England Hockey to which we are affiliated.
Who needs to register on Teamo?
- Every player must register. Even if you are just trying us out. This is because it provides us with emergency medical and contact information.
- Every player who is not yet 18 years old as of 1st September 2025 must have an online registration form completed by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must register their Junior Player and also themself.

Registration on Teamo
- Registration will ensure you are kept informed of important club and team planning and events.
- Teamo helps us comply with GDPR and is accessible from phones (Android or iOS), desktops, laptops and tablets.
- Potential new members: The registration process does not require you to pay annual membership upon registration. You are welcome to try 2-3 sessions before committing - but we need everyone to register for important medical, consent and communication purposes.
- Existing members: Subs and match fees are billed through Teamo. Please pay these in a timely manner to ensure the continued smooth running of the club.

Subscription Fees
The 2025/26 Season Membership Structure is as follows and was agreed at the EGM on 4th August 2025.
Please note that England Hockey (EH) have introduced a player fee in addition to the adult team fee as part of their Affiliation Fees. This has given rise to a significant increase in EH Fees payable by the club.
This compulsory change applies nationwide and comes with benefits to its members including:
- Free umpiring and coaching courses for players, coaches, and guardians (see EH Hub website)
- Enhanced personal insurance cover.
- Increased hockey coverage on national TV (Free to air coverage of England games on Channel 4’s YouTube channel).
- New school programmes to grow hockey participation.
Joining after Christmas? Your subscription fee will be 50% of the full season rate.

Sibling discount available for families with more than one child.
A match fee is collected for those playing in Adult matches: £12.50 (discounted for Juniors: £8.50).
Match fees are not collected for regular Junior fixtures. Exceptions could include certain tours or tournaments, or if a match tea or hospitality is arranged and expenses need to be covered.
